1. Which part of the garden centre do you work in?
Garden Furniture and Christmas.
2. What is the best part of your job?
I love seeing the new styles that come out for the next season and putting the ranges together. My favourite part is seeing it all together on the shop floor complementing each other.
3. Classic or Contemporary? What is your preferred garden style?
I really like a neutral contemporary look for in a garden.
4. Solo or Social? What would be your ideal garden set up? In a cocoon reading a book in a quiet spot in the garden, or everyone gathered together for a big family BBQ?
If I’m honest both, I love a set that you can make social but also doesn’t feel too big and bulky for when it’s just you! The Vilamoura style from Bramblecrest is my favourite for this kind of thing, it is social but you can spread out on a lounger when it’s just you!
5. What do you think is the best time of day to spend outdoors?
Morning! I love sitting outside, especially just as I get up with a fresh coffee or a tea!
6. What is the most important thing you think someone should consider when designing their garden?
Flow, you should always think about how your garden mirrors and flows when you look down from your house.
7. When it comes to gardening, what do you think is the one job we should all be doing this month?
If your garden is anything like mine, weeding!
8. What is one universal tip you would recommend for any would-be grower?
Always water everything in the evening!
9. What choices can we make that will benefit our gardens, and the environment?
I reuse all my plastic pots and trays that I buy flowers in to grow vegetable seedlings, I never buy plastic pots as the flower ones are just as good!
10. What do you love most about gardening, and being in the garden?
I find it really relaxing – but it depends on what project we have given ourselves!
